When it comes to sampling other people’s music for my own musical endeavors, I abide by a few self-appointed rules…

1. Never use drum loops
2. It’s OK to sample an artist with “Lil” in their name (Lil Mamma, Lil Wayne, Lil Kim, Lil Scrappy… you have been warned)
3. It’s OK to sample music from Film or TV scores.

Tonight is the season 5  finale of LOST and in celebration, I wanted to share a sneak peak of a beat I’m working on, that utilizes a piece of Michael Giacchino’s amazing score.  The music comes from my all-time favorite LOST episode “Deus Ex Machina” [Season 1, Ep 19].
