Eat Pray Fu*K - Árni Kristjánsson Remix

Icelandic producer, Árni Kristjánsson, has done a remix of  Eat Pray Fu*k! His 6 minute dance-your-ass-off-jam hits in all the right places.  If you aren’t familiar with Árni’s work here is some homework for you:

1. Árni’s Myspace: where you can get a sampling of Árni’s dub stup and break beat stylings.

2. The Zuckakis Mondeyano Project: Árni’s band…quite possibly the best electro jams you have ever heard.  Be sure to check out Fast Driver and Champagne Girl.

Mixtape Maestro - Review of “Weekends”

The good folks over at Mixtape Maestro have posted a review of Weekends which officially drops on Sept 2nd.  Here’s what they got to say:

After getting some web attention with summer cut “Eat Pray Fuck”, a George Michael-esque lost soul ode built on twinkly electronic beats, Brooklyn-based singer/ songwriter/ producer Doctor Rosen Rosen (the winking nod to Fletch is appreciated) is now set to drop a follow-up single in “Weekends”, another ’80’s-reminiscent pop number (this time the influence seems to be INXS).

I’ll Be Lovin’ U Long Time - REMIX

Say what you will about Mariah Carey– at the end of the day she can sing better than anyone in the game.  I stumbled onto the acappellas for her latest single and had no choice but to give Mimi the Doctor Rosen Rosen treatment.  So here’s my remix of Mariah Carey’s latest I’ll Be Lovin’ U Long Time.

You can download the MP3 (which sounds way better than the youtube clip) by clicking here.

Here is some footage I shot for City Flitz in Toronto during the NXNE Festival.  A special recorderd edition of “Check Out My Wheels” coming real soon…

The Vault: “SO DRUNK & SO WET”

There is a great story behind this little song, but I’ll let you all use your imagination.  Big shout to Travis for letting me hijack his cell phone so I could sample his voicemail.  Made sometime in 2002 I think.

Welikeit.indie - Review

I am featured on Welikeit.indie!  Check it out:

“The first artists that came to my mind while listening to Dr. Rosen Rosen was Bomfunk MCs, Dirty Vegas and Flight of the Conchords = beats + style + voice! Kick-ass jams!”

Even cooler than being featured on their site, is what these guys are doing…Welikeit.indie, sells combed and organic 100% African cotton shirts with prints inspired by indie artists.  How dope is that?

LAST FM RULES

I’m officially addicted to LastFM.  I must admit, that it took me a while to figure the site out, but now I’m all over it.  For starters, LastFM is like having access to a million different radio stations that were personally tailored to your taste.  Here is an example: I tell LastFM that I feel like listening to Prince and BOOM - a player pops up playing songs by Prince, The Time, Sheila E, Appolonia 6, Stevie Wonder, etc.

The best thing about LastFM is it helps you discover new music, that sounds like other people you like!  I posted my own artist page so people will discover my jams when they search for Kajagoogoo or Limp Bizkit or Sepultura.  Here is my page and here you can become my LastFM Friend.
